Santa Cruz Island is one of Zamboanga City´s pride. The Sta. Cruz Island actually have two beaches. The Little Sta. Cruz Island and the Great Sta. Cruz Island. The Great Sta. Cruz Island has more unusally pink-colored sands and sandbars,while the Little Sta. Cruz Island has the white
powder-like sands.
Sta. Cruz Islands are know for their "pink sand beach" and best for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Santa Cruz Island is located 4 km south of downtown Zamboanga City, on the Basilan strait.
The island are accessible byt boat from downtown Zamboanga City. It takes aroung 15-25 minutes depending on the sea current and the speed of the boat.
