camiguin island

"Camiguin Island, located in Mindanao, is what many people regard as the Philippine’s equivalent of The Garden of Eden. It is a volcanic island that is splendidly beautiful and it has a virgin jungle where exotic orchids and other flora can be found. It also boasts of hot and cold springs, majestic waterfalls and black, as well as white sandy beaches."

"Camiguin Island, known for its lanzones festival, offers white-sand beaches, spring resorts and magnificent caves untouched by industrial development. The island lies off the north coast of Mindanao. Aside from its beaches, Camiguin boasts of spring resorts and waterfalls. This island is also famous for its underwater sunken cemetery, submerged after a volcanic eruption of the Daan in 1871. The place is marked by a huge cross installed in 1982."

"Among its popular attractions are the Ardent Spring Resort run by the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA), the Mt. Hibok-Hibok itself, Santo Niño Cold Spring, Medano Islet, Mantigue Island and the lanzones festival."
